Season Finale

Well, yesterday was the 2005 season finale and it was a game of firsts. It was the first game not held in the Garagio, and it was the first game that Dave won. We had a big 9 player tournament to end the year on a high note. Dave became the third winner this year as he outlasted Chris at the end. Matt single-handedly eliminated five players (a new record) while finishing third. Below are the results:

Hallowhee!

So, since most of you chumps didn't show up, I decided to take it upon myself to win me the smallest ever TPTP event, consisting of Matt, Pat Erb and myself.

You might be thinking, "that's not enough players for a sponsored event..." Well, you're wrong. Dead wrong. It clearly stipulates in our constitution that so long as all were invited, it can be an event with as few as 3 people.

Anyways, it's a shame that more of you didn't show, cause I could have used your money. It wasn't easy, but I prevaled over Pat early on, he rebought, then I beat out Matt, then beat Pat again, leaving just me. That's right, ol' Last place Erb beat Matt, and inched 1 daring point closer to him atop the standings. More importantly, I gained a stellar 2 points on Sir Brouwer, creeping ever so close to his perch on the leaderboard.

So, for all you who didn't make it, check your dedication, as you may have missed the last game in the "Garragio" for the season. It was quite chilly. Also, keep posted for more dates as we reach the end of the 2005 season.

Pot Size: $35 (1st - $30, 2nd - $5)

Fright Night Mahem

I like the word Mahem.

How's about a game on Monday October 31 at the Garaggio... I know, it's halloween night, and it sickens me too, to acknowledge that halloween isn't just for the little pukes, but seriously, who's in.

Calling all Poker People

When are we all getting an invite to "The Garagio?" Seriously, I have no skills now. They have all been depleted from lack of game playing.
My other game however...still fabulous ;)

Labour Dabour

Dear TPTP Players:
I'm holding your money hostage. The only way you'll ever see it alive again is for you to beat me. I know, it's a tall order, but you really should give it a shot. Of course, if you fail, I'll be holding more of your money hostage.... Come and get it!
That is all,
Matt

Ahem...

In case you missed it last night... well, let's be honest, you didn't miss anything new, as I won once again. It's kinda like summer reruns.

In other news, congrats to Pat, who picked himself up out of the basement to finish second.

We only had 5 people, which was kind of disappointing since we thought we had more people lined up to participate. But we all agree that since summer is over, we'll have more luck with attendance for the next few games. Get your butt out there!

On a warm summer's evening, in the swealtering heat of the Garagio, there was a familiar ending to Game 4 of the TPTP. Matt bested six other players to take the event, while Dave is now on a run of two second place finishes in a row. First time TPTP player, Phil, made an impressive debut by finishing in the money. In the overall standings, Matt is opening up his lead and Dan has a solid hold on second. Dave made a jump up the standings to third, while Chris leapfrogged Rudy, who was absent for Game 4.
