New Season, New Winner

Well, I realize that nobody probably looks at the blog anymore... but I was feeling nostalgic so I figured I'd put the latest results up here. Anyway, in the first game of our fourth season of the TPTP, Randy became the ninth winner ever. Congrats. Also of note, it was Nathan's first game not finishing in the money. Finally. The results were as such:

2 - Matt (eliminated by Randy)
3 - Nathan (Randy)
4 - Dan (Matt)
5 - Amanda (Matt)
6 - Corey (Randy)
7 - Megan (Matt)

As it was the first game of the year, that also means that last year's standings are finalized. Only 6 games last year, but Nathan came out on top. Check out the website for the stats and year-end awards! Also, check out who won the "Always a Bridesmaid..." award for the third straight year!

TPTP Happenings

I figured that the blog was looking a little tired and outdated, so I went ahead and changed the template to a fancy "new blogger" template (that means you'll have to update your account to post again, Dave).

Word on the street is that the next game will be on Sunday, April 1st at 3:00pm. Wait for final word from Dan though, in the form of an email (I think).

Anyway, since Facebook is all the rage these days, a TPTP group has been formed there. So, if you have an account, search for "Touring Poker Tour of Poker" to find the group and join. It's open for everyone who's ever played with us or who might play with us. I think it'll be another good way to announce games. And if you don't have a facebook account, what's your holdup? Like I said... ALL THE RAGE.

Hey there poker players, the next game is upon us. This Friday, February 23 will be the date. Game time is 7:00pm at Dan's house. Get your but out there and give me your money.

New Season, New Players, Repeat Winner

The first game of 2007 was our second two table tournament in TPTP history. 12 players showed and for four of them, it was their TPTP debut. Nathan nearly became the first player to win in his debut, but finished second. It was Matt, the 2005 champion who wound up victorious. Not only that, but he also took an impressive 6 out of 11 eliminations. Matt also finds it awkward to write in the third-person, but Matt will get over it. Here are the results:

Season 3 Premier

In case you're out of the email loop, Season 3 of the Touring Poker Tour of Poker begins this Friday at 6:30pm at Dan's. If you plan on coming, email Dan to let him know.

Keeping The Archives Up-To-Date

The photos from the Labour Day Classic are finally online! It's important to have visual records of people losing their money, isn't it? One of these days we ought to do some videos and put them up on YouTube.

Did Someone Say "Brooms"?

The Touring Poker Tour of Poker finally lived up to the "Touring" part of it's name by having it's first away game. Four of us went out to the Brussels Casino and Trebuchet Factory, having a game after working on our trebuchet all day. Matt (that's right, I'm writing this in third person) finally remembered how to win, and he did it in style by sweeping away Dan, Tim, and Rudy in a shutout. Interesting note: This was Dan's first ever last place finish. Interesting note 2: Rudy is on a three game "head's up" streak.

The final order of finish:
